Directions
Whether you're trying to find a local hotel/motel while in Waco for the triathlon or a local attraction, we've got you covered!
Directions for the Waco Convention Center (place of race expo) are below. The transition area, race start and finish are surrounding Indian Springs Park which is located directly across from the Convention Center on University Parks Drive.
Please note: There is extensive construction taking place on I-35 through Waco, so it is not possible to know which exits will be open at any given time. TXDOT is providing good guidance on detours, so your best bet is to use your smartphone to get to the Waco Convention Center, and follow the detours that TXDOT sets up.
From Dallas, traveling south on I-35, take Exit 335B, University Parks Drive. Turn RIGHT onto University Parks Drive. Follow it until you arrive at Washington Avenue. Turn LEFT on Washington Avenue. The Convention Center will be on your left, with the main doors facing Washington Avenue. It is across the street from the Courtyard by Marriott on one side, the Suspension Bridge and Indian Spring Park on another side, and connected by a covered walkway to the Hilton Waco.
From Austin, traveling north on I-35, take Exit 335B, University Parks Drive. Turn LEFT onto University Parks Drive. Follow it until you arrive at Washington Avenue. Turn LEFT on Washington Avenue. The Convention Center will be on your left, with the main doors facing Washington Avenue. From Houston, traveling north on Highway 6, take the Orchard Lane exit. Turn LEFT onto Orchard Lane. Follow Orchard Lane until you reach Martin Luther King Blvd. Turn RIGHT. This will be near McLane Stadium, Baylor’s football stadium. Follow Martin Luther King Blvd. until you arrive at Washington Avenue. Turn LEFT on Washington Avenue and cross over the bridge at the Brazos River. The Convention Center will be on your left, at the corner of Washington Avenue and University Parks Drive. The main doors face Washington Avenue.

As you navigate the downtown Waco area, be sure to take advantage of the FREE shuttle service that will take you around the Silo District and downtown Waco. It runs every 8 to 10 minutes, Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Park for free and take the shuttle to explore Downtown Waco! Parking & Transit
Where can I park my vehicle?
There is plenty of free parking available close to the triathlon. Free parking is available in the City Parking Garage located at Franklin Avenue and Fourth Street, the Hilton/Convention Center parking lot at Franklin and Third Street and across the street in the Spice Village parking lot. This parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can find a map of downtown parking here.
ADA Parking
There is limited accessible parking available near the triathlon start on a first-come, first-served basis to vehicles displaying a state-issued handicapped plate or placard. The person to whom the placard or plate is issued must be present in the vehicle, as a driver or passenger. As part of gaining access to accessible parking, identifications will be checked to ensure the legitimate use of these items. There are ADA parking spaces in the City Hall/Waco Convention Center parking lot as well as the parking lot near the Roosevelt parking garage, which you will need to enter from Fifth Street.
